Karen Dominguez-Brann has a unique perspective and approach to designing Homes & Gardens. She approaches each with the same sensibility. Karen has had her hand in design for many years. She started her design firm in Los Angeles in the mid-eighties. She first worked designing gardens and later integrated the interior into her work. Her passion is the lifestyle of the client. She explores how they live in a space and designs from that perspective. She has created Kitchens, Baths, Living Rooms, as well as Outdoor Rooms, Pools, Decks, Terraces. She works best with an integrated Indoor/outdoor project. Her style expertise is in Thematic, Historic, & ECO-Style. She has a passion for creating Homes & Cottages that evoke romance, fun, & sophistication with a style based upon the architecture & site of the dwelling. Color & furnishings inside & out create what her clients call "magic". She has woven in her passion for Green & Sustainable, as well as the organic into her work. "High Minded High Style” has become her motto. Her designs have been commissioned in such diverse places as Southern California, North Carolina, Montana, Connecticut and Maine. She has and does travel extensively to France, England, Mexico & Regions of our own United States. She has had fun applying this research to her work.

Karen has been featured in many books and magazines as well as a guest on various HGTV Home and Garden programs. She has also appeared on Good Morning America, giving a tour of her own garden. Her work has been published in the book, " Leading the Artful Life" by Mary Engelbreit. A chapter was devoted to her philosophy and several pages feature photos of herQuestions & Answers personal Home and Garden. Karen’s work has landed her on the cover of Country Living magazine including the feature article. Home Companion 
magazine, has showcased her work as well as Sunset magazine. She most recently was the editor and contributor of the Home and Garden section of the Maine Women’s Journal. She has also contributed to the book Empowered Gardens, by Carol Soucek
